Adopt a Fire Hydrant by Your Home...
The RVFD and the Fire Prevention Bureau are looking for residents who live near fire hydrants to “Adopt Fire Hydrant” during the coming winter months. Please keep the hydrants clear of debris and snow, in an emergency it WILL make a difference.
All you need to do is take the time to keep the hydrant by your house accessible during the winter months. Keeping your hydrant clear can save us valuable time when we need to gain access to water. This in turn not only can save your home but can save lives.
We hope everyone in River Vale can pitch in!
